My name is Deborah Ahern-Ridlon
and Adwera Rhodesian Ridgebacks was formed in 2005. I purchased
my first Rhodesian Ridgeback in 2002. Little did I know how that
purchase would so drastically change my life. Since then I have
been involved in puppy classes, handling classes, obedience classes,
conformation competition, obedience competition and lure coursing events.
Rhodesian Ridgebacks have been referred to as "the versatile
breed" and this is so true as I have seen them perform in agility
and herding events as well.
The decision to add a Rhodesian Ridgeback to your family must be considered
carefully. This breed is not for everyone. They are a strong,
muscular dog that require a considerable amount of training and exercise.
Left to there own devices a Ridgeback could easily rearrange the
living room furniture or re-landscape the back yard. They need
socialization. They are sensitive, posessive and very intelligent.
They require daily exercise and companionship with there people.
The foundation stock for Adwera Rhodesian Ridgebacks comes from multiple
best in show winning sires and champion dams. As you explore this
site you will find information and links to other useful sites. Adwera
Ridgebacks is committed to improving the overall health of our breed
and offers health information and a newsletter that highlights current
health trends as well as other useful information including neat training
tips.
